Things All Women Should Do Before Pregnancy
Many couples make the mistake of starting the preparations once they are pregnant. If anything goes wrong in that, you always have high-risk pregnancy doctors in Gurgaon. But the best way is to begin thinking about it before pregnancy. That way, you leave no space for ‘I wish’ and ‘If only’ in the most special thing of your life.
If you are planning to get pregnant, it is always better if you visit a gynaecologist in Gurgaon. Dr Nupur Gupta is known around the world for her expertise in gynaecology, menstruation problems and complications in pregnancy. She is among the best gynaecologists in Gurgaon and can handle sensitive issues like second-trimester abortions in Gurgaon. But you have some responsibilities of your own as well.
Here are some of the things that every woman should do before pregnancy:
Quit Smoking and Drinking : Be safe than sorry. Do not wait until you get pregnant to cut out the toxicities in your life. Smoking and drinking can affect your baby severely, and even increase the chances of miscarriage. And it applies not only to the biological mother, but the other parent as well. While you are at it, you might even consider giving it up for good, at least the smoking part. It is never a good thing for your body, especially with a child around.
Do a Complete Check-Up : Over and above visits to your gynecologist in Gurgaon, you should also be visiting a general MD to get all your vitals checked. Blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol and a whole lot of other tests will be given to you if you want a full check-up. But you need to make sure you are in the pink of your health for the sake of your baby.
Start Fixing Your Diet and Vitamin Intake : We cannot emphasize enough how important it is for you to stay internally and externally fit for your child. When you start planning a baby, you might as well start regulating your diet along with it. Increase intake of substances like Iron to fight drowsiness and fatigue, Iodine for the baby’s quick growth and vitamin D as well.

Get Your Finances Sorted : Bringing a baby to the world is beautiful, but in the practical world, it takes a toll on your health and your finance. This is the time you take the necessary actions like liquidating invested assets or break fixed deposits that you had planned for the baby.
Stock Up Resources for Pregnancy Period : You need to stock up on books, DVDs, get the necessary pillows and blankets and keep some order-in pamphlets and apps handy for the pregnancy period. Your partner might not be there 24/7 for you, so make arrangements to take care of yourself.

She has lost 14 kgs, overhauled her eating habits (cut down on the junk) and eat more healthy foods & drink her water quota. She feels lots more better in herself. She is ready to try and conceive, hope it happens this month. She has 2 daughters (sweethearts). I enjoyed this article immensely.
ReplyDeleteI am a genetic counselor and find that most women wait until they are pregnant to pursue testing for cystic fibrosis, sickle cell disease, etc. These tests are best done before pregnancy, when family planning options are abundant. Also, most couples who have a child with a recessive genetic disease have no prior family history of the condition.
